Built atop a spoil tip of toxic zinc left over from mining operations, this walk-able “roller coaster” sculpture follows a post-industrial Ruhr tradition of topping spoil tips with monuments.
Climbing the structure offers views of the Rhine river and the surrounding region. It is a really awesome experience to climb. It is a bit out of the way, but easy to get to by tram and a great stop to make if you are visiting the Ruhr region.

Another walkable sculpture in the region is the Tetrahedron, which I only saw from far away.
Great opportunity for a selfie!
